Do you think adding online play could be another potential move to freshen up multiplayer?

There's no reason not to have online multiplayer at this point. Personally I'd love to see them add to it as well, like maybe, in addition to co-op, there's a race mode to see which player can reach the end first.

@the8thark I'm not sure what you mean. Tropical Freeze has a soundtrack by David Wise, the creator of the soundtrack for the original DKC Trilogy, and it sounds every bit as fantastic and fits the levels.

Everyone has their own opinions. That's fair. If you like it, that's totally fine. I just think it's not Wise's best work. But that's just my opinion.

2D mario used to do a lot right, and used to be at the top of the 2D platforming genre, but that changed with the nsmb series. Granted, they are still fun to play and decent games, but thats saying everything. Terrible music, terrible setpieces, everything generic, no real innovation in the gameplay department, ect. The fact they couldn't even make a new one for the switch and milked an old milked game even further for 60 bucks no less (which they can't even do right, with missing content and worse control somehow), just makes me think that they don't give a crap about 2D mario anymore.
