What Kind of Personality Will the Characters have?

Characters are usually either almost all goofy or almost all serious. TP was more or less serious for example, while SS and WW were a little more goofy.

What approach do you think will be taken for the next Zelda, and which one do you want it to be?

TP had freakin' pot-bellied clowns. And Agitha. Not terribly serious.
I'd say the LoZ games have a mix of characters, and I hope the next one will too.

More or less serious. Maybe it was not the best example but I think it was the game with the most serious characters even still

It probably is, but it still has a mix of characters.
I'd be disappointed if all the characters were dead serious or totally silly. An equal mix would be my preference.

There needs to be a mix just so that members of the cast can stand out.

A full cast of edgelords or clowns would be dull.

If there isn't a mix then it isn't good writing.

But after the genericism of BoTW I'd like a darker more intense narrative with some focussed characters.
