Really interesting stuff. Apparently the Knight alone in any high quality chess set makes up most of the cost, I didn't know that but it makes sense, it is surely the most difficult piece to carve. If demand for premium chess sets continue on an upward price trend, I'm so glad I finally got one while the price range is still reasonable.
