I just recently knew it existed xD...but I would not want it to go away. I think any chat in any forum allows for the members to bond, and get to know each other. As cheesy as that sounds xD

Having something to do besides aimlessly browsing the subtopics, threads, and blog posts, and catching up with everyone in general.

I really feel like ZD has been deprived of one of its greatest components. Hopefully the ShoutBox or something similar will be reintroduced to the community so that we can get back into the swing of things.
