Mases summed everything up perfectly. A more mature take on the action adventure genre. I swear to God, Mr. Hagopian should work for Vigil Games. I'd think he'd do an exceptional job advertising the product.

If you have the option, Xbox 360 is the best console, as it was the primary system used during development. Vigil outsourced the PS3 conversion to another company, making it the least stable platform, as you figure out if you look at other forums or look up issues with the game. No matter what, make sure to save often, and save multiple files. I love this game, but it isn't perfect. And you shouldn't have any problems if you take some precautions.

The PC port is excellent, despite some gamepad compatibility issues. But no worries, the keyboard controls are fantastic.

I think I'll get this soon. Darksiders 2 looked awesome at E3 last year and I plan on trying it because of that, so I might as well get the first to learn more about the series.

Well those symbols are surrounding War's "Seal" if you will. I don't believe it is explained anywhere (or like a fully fledged language or anything) and certainly not translated, but those are the characters of the language of the Old Ones. Meaning? Not sure.
