I think it's important to always have at least something, both small or large, to be looking forward to. Otherwise, why is life worth living?

Every year during this time... I look forward to Spring. I run a youth Baseball league in my area and each year the first time I step onto a ball field, I get a great feeling.

For years I've also been wanting to get a new (used) car. I want to get a convertible. I've been eyeing a Pontiac Solstice... It's a nice car, affordable, and I think this Summer is finally the year I can get it.

I'm looking forward to Breath of the Wild 2 totally not being delayed...

The Battle for Bikini Bottom remake. It's meant to come out this year but doesn't have a release date yet.

Now that I think about it, all the games I'm currently most looking forward to (BFBB, Breath of the Wild 2, Metroid Prime 4) don't currently have release dates. It gives me some time to catch up on older games, at least.
