Spoiler Was Ganondorf Really Defeated in the Wind Waker?

I'm pretty sure he was KILLED killed seeing as both of WW's sequels do not include him.

He dead and that's it. He was stabbed in the head, turned to rock, and possibly drowned in old hyrule as it was being sunk back into the ocean.

I'd only go so far as to say that he's dead at the current moment; he'll come back somehow, like he always does.
