I feel that people tend to label everything under the EDM umbrella as "Dubstep", which is completely wrong. Not everything electronic sounding is considered Dubstep, and not every song under the EDM umbrella sounds like robots having sex while having a goddamn meltdown. In the spoiler I've songs that I think do a great deal of justice for genres under the EDM umbrella.

I'm not trying to tell you your opinion is wrong, but please consider looking into other genres relating to EDM and not just "Dubstep". There are some great songs out there, and I would hate for people to never find them because they instantly here a Skrillex song and start to hurl. I used to hate Dubstep/EDM and criticized it a lot, but now I absolutely love it, and I wish other people could like the same type of music as myself. I'm not trying to tell you your taste in music is bad, but I would be ecstatic if you would consider giving EDM another chance.
Quite the contrary, really. One Direction is extremely talented, whether you like their music or not. If they weren't talented, they wouldn't have a career or millions of fans. I respect your opinion that you find them annoying, but you cannot deny that they are immensely talented.

I gave those songs a listen and the only one I sort of liked was the first one. There are a few exceptions to electronic music that I actually do like, like this one, but in general the genre isn't for me. I just don't really like it.

-Radiohead is a terrible band, and I find Kid a and OK Computer un-listenable.
-Anything related to anime fandom is immensely annoying
-All the weeaboo **** lke "b-baka" and "senpai" makes me want to punch something
-Nirvanna is literally one of the worst bands I have ever heard
-Copy/pasting overused memes as your response to everything in existence is irritating beyond my ability to describe
-The idea that "moderate" or "centrist" in politics is somehow inherently superior because it's not defacto "left" or "right" is absurd and asinine
-Photoshop is not a good image editor. It's oversimplified in some areas and the organization is awful. There are so many reasons it's not better I don't even feel like listing them all
-Almost everything about Chrome's design is abysmal. Google in general is abysmal
-Putting grunge brushes and fractals on images and then sharpening it is not graphics design
