General Modern TMC The Great Mayfly Fairy is Missing!

This is about the virtual console 3DS version of The minish cap.

When i go into the cave of the Great Mayfly Fairy ("the bomb fairy"). Nothing happens, she does not come out of the water or anything. I went to this place for the first time after i beat Vaati, and discovered that she did not appear. This is annoying since i cannot get the bomb upgrade

I also went to The Great Dragonfly Fairy ("the Quiver fairy") after i beat the game, but this time it worked.

I can only have 30bombs.... (i think the other bomb upgrade is not a part of the European version of the game...)

You have to throw a bomb in the fountain. Then she will appear.
