Shadsie
Sage of Tales
I am always interested in finding and inventing new media and techniques for art. Very often, the weirder, the better.
I doodled on a meat tray.
I had to scan it in two pieces. That is a styrofoam meat tray I drew on with a Sharpie and a pilot-pen. The reason I'd cleaned and saved the tray in the first place was because I like using meat trays as paint palettes for my acrylic painting. They serve quite well for that, so that's why I had it around, hanging around with a few other unused disposable paint palettes.
The tray originally held pork, therefore I had to doodle pigs.
Yes, the top one's a cannibal. I tried to go for "surreal, slightly horrific whimsy."
