(THEORY) How Malice is Worse Than You'd Think

How Malice is Worse Than You'd Think
Malice is a substance that has been merged with Calamity Ganon. However, a hell of a lot of it splashed all over the place, and possessed many things. For example, Stone Taluses are a thing because Malice is controlling it's every move. Moreover, Malice needs a suitable body or object to possess. Otherwise, it stays in a small pool or clings to strange places. Things that are possessed by Malice tend to be mindless and only wanting to kill; thus describing the weird actions of the Divine Beasts. They move around aimlessly, despite the amount of power they have.
This small paragraph can describe a hell of a lot. Suitable bodies for Malice can be found anywhere. Even dead monsters can be possessed by Malice. Stal Monsters and Cursed Enemy heads can be found with no evident way they can be alive without a heart, leading me to believe they are possessed by Malice.

This image further proves my point. The Cursed Bokoblin has been given a "sort of life." by the Malice. However, It has no intelligent and only aimlessly "attacks anything that gets too close." The Divine Beasts portray this behavior when they are still possessed by the Malice. Ganon has nothing to do with this possession at all. His transformation was to let the Malice take his soul. In all boss fights, not including the Hinox or Lynel or Moldu[ga,king], they attack in a pattern of attacks and don't even try to make new techniques as they go along.

In the main bosses, Ganon and his blights, they seem to attack in this pattern mentioned above. However, there is one thing that is noticeable in the blight's appearance and attack methods. They all seem to mimic the moves and weapons of the champion that piloted that Divine Beast. Waterblight Ganon uses a spear, like Mipha. Fireblight Ganon uses a two handed weapon, like Daruk. Windblight Ganon uses ranged attacks in it's second phase, just like Ravali did with his bow. Thunderblight Ganon uses a sword and a shield, just like Urbosa. One of my many theories is that the champions died because they came into contact with Malice that existed in the Divine Beast that they were in, and that the blights act the way they do because of the ways of the fallen champions. Basically, the Malice took over the corpses of the Champions and covered it with itself, however still maintaining some physical features of the champions. This is further supported by the fact that Malice harms whatever it comes into contact with. Since the Champions had no idea what it was, they could have been seriously injured by it.

Some counterclaims to this theory is that the Champions are said to have been "killed by the blights" and they know the moves of the blights. However, the blights (if following this theory) were just small pools of Malice and could have done serious harm to them. This rebuttal can further prove my claim. In addition, the Champions would know the moves of the blights because, get this, the Champions know their own moves and the blights are copying their moves. Maybe, just maybe, when the Divine Beasts were just taken over, the Malice had sheikah weapons and some features. But, they would have consumed the Champion's bodies and mimicked their features. This could be another valid theory, given the reasons listed above.

This image is the Hyrule Compendium entry for Fireblight Ganon. This image states "This phantom of Ganon attacked the Divine Beasts Vah Rudania and was responsible for the demise of the Champion Daruk." This quote can confirm that the Blights were a thing and not just pools of Malice. However, there is still a high probability that the Blights consumed the bodies of the Champions. The features on Fireblight Ganon are big and bulky, which is in tribute to Daruk's features/complexity.

A couple of things... firstly, it seems more likely that Calamity Ganon created the malice, rather than the malice having turned Ganondorf into Calamity Ganon as you seem to be implying... the malice seems to be an extension of Calmity Ganon himself, hence why the malice and anything possessed by it actually seem to be under his control (albeit loosely... more like he's given them a purpose and left them to it).

Secondly, the appearance and behaviour of the blight Ganons appear to be more a result of the ancient technology that they incorporate, and while they may have absorbed (or more likely simply destroyed) the bodies of the defeated champions, I doubt that would have anything to do with their appearance.
As for the ancient technology, chances are they were built around the time of the original champions (over 10,000 years before BotW), so their designs were likely based on them, rather than the champions Link knew... this explains why there are both similarities and differences to the current champions.
What they were for is more of a mystery... it's possible that they were robots, perhaps designed as auto-pilots for the divine beasts... but I think they might actually be some sort of armour, possibly a more advanced version of the ancient armour... if you look at the champions in the tapestry depicting the battle 10,000 years ago, it does look as if they are wearing some sort of armour that bears a resemblance to the blight Ganons.

Good point, but the Divine Beasts were assigned to the same races as they were 10,000 years ago, correct?

That is very true.
You have opened my eyes. What if the champions were buried in their respective Divine Beasts? Like the original ones.
