In WW you get the Master Sword in the middle of the game, but the sword is not at its full power. You go through more temples to power the Blade of Evil's Bane and get it to full strength. What I don't understand is this 'power' the Master Sword is said to hold. In SS when the Master Sword is forged it automatically becomes the Blade of Evil's Bane, but it is not at full power in the first place. You talk to Zelda and she powers it completely, making the wings on the side extend and making it shine, impressive right? 
. The sword becomes even stronger than before and can kill enemies in less hits, but the sword doesn't show any kind of power that wasn't already there when it was the Goddess's Sword. It can still create a Skyward Strike, but the Goddess's Sword could do that. It can dowse for things the Goddess's Sword can also did that. The fact is the Master Sword doesn't hold any power besides being able to hurt Ganondorf. The sword is described to have the ability that no evil can withstand its might. Would you be able to survive a few hard slices to the chest with a sword? It is said that no evil can touch it but in SS it says that no one but Link can wield it so that defence mechanism is useless. My point is that the Master sword does a few more point of damage than your other swords in Zelda games (Not including the Goron Sword in OoT) and it looks cool. The Blade of Evil's Bane really doesn't have much to boast about when you look past the legend and delve into the realms of logic. At the end of SS the Master Sword loses it's only real power when it becomes just a sword. Demise makes an antithesis of the Master Sword in the final battle and it seems to pale in comparison to the original version, as does Dark Link's in the water temple of OoT. Maybe a power of the Master Sword is the ability of being impossible to replicate.
