The Funniest/Most Embarrassing Thing You Did While Playing Zelda

We heard of the rage moments now what was the funniest thing, or most embarrassing thing, you did physically while playing Zelda. I will sacrifice my dignity by showing how much of a nerd I am so you will feel no shame in your answer. While playing TP on the Wii, I took this wooden master sword I had just bought and taped it to the Wii controller. I then proceed to play while actually slashing the air. Someone comes in and is like "what are you doing" and I'm like "duh, kicking butt."

I remember a time that didn't happen a long time ago, it wasn't really funny or embarrising, it was just annoying. I got angry in the Great Bay Temple because I fell into the water and got beat up by fish. I started swinging the controller and somehow the cord managed to his the reset button on the Wii. I GOT SO IRRITATED YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!! First of all, I didn't know that was possible, and second, it didn't save all I did in the temple…

It wasn't really embarrasing, but my first zelda game was wind waker, and when I was in the sewers under the private oasis (I discovered it early in the game), I stumbled across the two redeads crouching on the ground, and I thought "what the heck are these?" so I just attacked them like normal enemies, and all of the sudden they screamed (my volume was high, too), and I fell off of the chair in surprise.

Now I wonder WHY a private "oasis" has zombies under the home.

I once spent half an hour trying to jump onto a ledge on the approach to Zora's Domain, this was purely because my best friend told me that if you roll at the just right moment you can reach the ledge.

I was completely oblivious to Magic Beans.

Well, 10 years ago I started to play OoT. I got to the water temple and got extreemly frustrated. so i turned to game genie (or some equivalent) to help me thru the dungeon. Too bad i didn't know how to work the game genie either. Somehow, Link gained the power to levitate...and he wouldn't stop. Link's head would just float to the ceiling and stop. It made me so mad, and I didn't know how to undo the change that i made to my save file. so i had to erase the file and start over. Not to worry, I've beaten the game about 12x since, and each time i played thru the water temple with out help (even tho its tedious). But that was pretty embarrassing, having to restart my first OoT save file!

I have two
1. I was up death moutain trail (Oot) and got hit by the goron rolling down, I did not fall off the cliff but I had accidentally pulled out a bomb. I threw it and ran backwards to not get hit by the bomb, I fell of the cliff.

2. I beat the water temple (took me two hours) then beat morpha. I proceded and then turned of my console. Then started walking to bed with relief. Then at like two in the marining I relized, I DIDN'T SAVE!!!!!

1. Okay, so it was a long time ago. Like, my first time through. (Ocarina of Time) I was in the Fire Temple, doing simply great! Well, i got stuck. I was in the room where a wall of fire kinda follows behind you, ya know? And so, there was the locked door that i knew i had to get to, and I spent like seriously about an hour trying to figure out how the hell you were supposed to get there. I was using my hookshot, hitting every single wall with my sword, just in case i had to use the "Goron Special Crop" and like oh my godddd. I was on the verge of giving up, when I stood on top of that pillar to escape the fire, accidentally pushed forward on my controller, yelled "NOOOOOOO" because i was a fail, and had barely any hearts left. And what do you know?! I jumped across to the freakin' door. <.<

2. I was proving to my brother that I am better at OoT than he is, and was going through the Fire Temple- i just realized that both of my embarrassing moments are in the Fire Temple xD- well, I was showing off and so i used my hookshot in the room where you have to push the block on top of the shooting fire and hitch a ride. Well, i used it, but my 64 controller is a betch and i didn't grab on, and i fell into the fire, and couldn't climb back up, and had to reuse my hook shot before the fire hurt me. >.>

actuall, when i was in the fire temple i was in that c-shaped room where that wall of fire would keep recycleing over and over again and comb the room. i was trying to get to that door on the ledge where you jump from the grating, and my granddad was like 'get up close and jump' and i was like 'no, its slightly to far for me to reach, i wouldnt make it' and after 20 minutes of arguing he left. as soon as he did i tryed to resest the room by jumping into the lava, and i got onto the platform the way he said to.

The most embarrasing moment for me was when I couldn't figure out how to get past the room in the Forest Temple where you have to push the blocks into the holes, and then I found the ladder. You couldn't even imagine how mad I was.

More what I didn't know than what I did...I played all of OoT, TP, and AlttP at least once before realizing that a fairy in the bottle would resurrect me before a game over. And then when I finally figured it out in AlttP, I still didn't realize it applied to the other games.

As for something I did, before I realized how to use the maps and compass in OoT, I had a dungeon in which I would walk into a circular room, walk around to the other door, think it was the same door I came in, walk back around to the first door, and go back outside, wondering how I was supposed to get out of that room. If it got really bad I'd even check a walkthrough and it'd say, "Go through the door." Me - "What door?!" (Sometimes I think it's a miracle I ever became competent at these games. Eheh.)

Both during TP. First, trying to catch the Hylian loach at the fishing hole for close to an hour. I didn't land it on my first try after like 30 min of patience and it got away, I started cursing and thrashing around so loudly that my cat jumped up and ran out of the room and my mom thought I had seriously injured myself. :embarrassed: By the time I got it, my wrist was super sore and nearly immobile from "reeling in" the line so much. Moral of the story: LoZ fishing isn't for the weak.

--Final Battle Spoilers--
During my third file at the final battle, I was trying to get through all the stages, all hearts intact. In the first stage with puppet Zelda, I knew exactly what to do, gave it my first swing at the energy ball... and got hit. Tried again.... and got hit. I wasn't until I was down like four or five hearts that I realized I didn't have the Master sword equipped. I, for some reason, was using the Ordon sword up until that point I guess I had been curious if I could re-equip it and forgot to change it back...

I have several of these moments, but all of them have one thing in common. They are all titled, " WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!! because I have no idea! So I look it up on ZD and realize it was the simplest and most obvious thing in the world! "

One of the most recent: TP Heart Piece in Karakiro on top of the cliff when you first come in from Kakariko gorge. Broke the boulder fine, could I figure out how to get the piece of heart down, no. I tried everything I could think of: Clawshot wasn't long enough from the ground or from the top of the buildings, looked everywhere all over the walls for a spinner track, Tried to use chickens to fly there, turned into a wolf and sacred all the towns people off to try and use midna to jump me up there somehow, try and blow up more rocks underneath it so it would fall. Literally everything I could think of. After slamming my controller down and stoming over to my laptop, ZD says: "Use the gale bomorang." (sp?) DUH! omg...really....how did I not think of that one... *face palms*

Hummm.... probably in TP, when I first played it. I had waited in line for like.... over 24 hours for the release, had to be escorted to the car so I wouldn't get robbed, and then fired up the game the moment I got home. As soon as I got the fishing rod I sat there and just... fished. For hours and hours and hours. I was so enthralled. Then my honey comes in and is like, "How far did you get?" and I was like, "Omgah! I forgot I had to actually play the game!"

What can I say? The fishing was funner than the rest of it. @_@

Okay, so I was playing MM and I almost beat the Great Bay Temple. All I needed to do was kill the boss. The second I go in the room it owns me, so I bought 4 bottles of milk. Then I tried again. I was using the "hard" method and going into the water because I didn't know there was any other way.
At the end of the fight, I didn't have any milk left and only had a quarter of a heart left. I then came to ZD and told Axle the Beast what happened. Then he told me about the easy way. I felt like an idiot the rest of the day.
