WARNING: SPOILERS FOR SPIRIT TRACKS

Anyone who has played Spirit tracks know that before the final boss, Zelda asks Link what will he do after all of this is done, then you are given three answers to choose from: A Warrior, an engineer, or don't know.
All of these give a different ending, warrior and engineer are very similar: Zelda is doing paper work with teacher dozing off, and then she hears Link and waves to him through the window.

But the third ending is quite different, Teacher isn't there for one, and Link isn't heard either, he's kinda just, gone.

So what happened to him and teacher? Tell me what you think.

In my own head cannon I like to think Teacher got sick, so Link had to travel afar to search for some medicine to cure him.

He lost his sense of direction and pursued the good life; narcissistic indulgence. He spent all the money he found on drugs, women, and parties. When Zelda and his friends expressed disapproval of this, he cut ties with them.

Years later, he OD'd under a bridge. His body was found after being eaten almost beyond recognition by homeless men.
