Did you miss the "voting someone" part of what I said? How do you start discussion if you're not given the power to day-murder a random inactive, then?

Also voting someone to "pressure" them when there's nothing else to go on rarely ever works. Usually someone has to suggest something or do something stupid that gets reactions and then gives everyone someone to talk about, not just "oh im going to vote you not because I find you suspicious but because i want you to talk more even though there's nothing to discuss or defend yourself from."

Yeah, pressure votes seem to be misunderstood a lot in this community. One vote does not constitute pressure. It's no pressure unless they're actually in danger of death. That pushes people to post. Someone poking them doesnt necessarily.

I need to re-read back through, but as of right now, I'm going to consider Deku a town lean. It's completely possible that he was "voting a scumbud for town cred", but I don't know if shooting can be equated to voting. There was a very clear possibility for death with shooting and I simply don't believe mafia would have risked killing their own day one.

I also don't find any one too suspicious with their shooting. There was a lot of shooting happening and it was impossible to keep up. I completely expected people to be reckless in their shots; it's a new game mechanic and day one. In lieu of RVS, we had random shooting stage.

So instead of voting someone, you would rather waste your d1 kill on a random target to spur discussion? That sounds the opposite of a good idea.

Normally I’d say you’re right. But considering that a lot of people will die soon in this game, it’s better to have 1-2 deaths already at the beginning to stir up the discussions than to have everyone alive and suddenly shooting 8 people at once at some later stage.

On a side-note, though. Just imagine how boring a Christmas conversation must be that you’re actually openly discussing to kill someone in the room just to get a discussion going. . .

Oh, what happened while I was sleeping? Mido got shot! Yes one scum down. Also, Bok seems scummy to me. They did shoot Musicfan without explanation. Now, I know I did the same thing, but at least I said they felt scummy. Now, Musicfan did go back for some eye for an eye, which does seem scummmy. I'm keeping my eye on these two.

Then again you saw how my reads came out in Vanilla Mafia.
