Skyloft Cannot Be the Only Sky City in Skyward Sword

This has bugged me ever since I first played Skyward Sword. The economy we see in the game cannot sustain itself, the town and population is much to small to be the product of hundreds of years of isolated living, and some things (Like the minigame island) just flat out cannot exist without some other place to draw resources from. I can't watched the video now, but I really wish there was another big island where most of the people live.
And another full of pirates for the skyloft knights to defend against.
