10 candles are on a table in the kitchen. A breeze flows in through the open window, extinguishing 2 of them. You close the window. Another had a wick that was cut halfway down, and stops burning one it reaches the cut part. yet another is put out because it smelled bad. The candles are then left alone. How many candles do you have left in the end? (Those of you who play Professor Layton should get this one easily)

Here's a free hint coin: The candles are left alone after the last one is put out. Read the riddle very carefully...

Then here is mine.

There is a girl who lives with her parents. She is given free reign of the house save for the cellar, which her parents say has something in there she can never see. She does, however, notice them bringing in various objects. These objects are:

1 Mirror, outlined with ruby and emerald trim, 2 Dolls, a Ouiji Board, A pot of gold, An NES, Porn, Toys from her childhood, an ancient box, an evil looking book, and last, but not least, the dead body of their neighbor who was murdered.

What is behind the door her parents don't want her to see?

Actually the answer is 4. The six candles that were lit melted down, leaving only the 4 survivors that were no longer burning. Good thinking, though!

Ok, the wording of it is key.

Think of the order of events: Her parents tell her she cannot see what's in there, then bring in all this crazy sh!t.

Yes, I just listed off a ton of red herrings. There is only ONE thing behind the door at that point her parents could have been hiding from her at that point.
