I am actually heartbroken about this one.
AC/DC was my favourite band as a kid, and still is one of my favourites now. And now that I more properly understand their musical style and why they play the way they do, his death just hits home even more. One of the greatest rhythm guitarists of our time, and a true very undershadowed musical icon. Malcolm Young leaves a legacy that few will ever match. While not as technically proficient as some other guitarists, Malcolm was a guitar god in subtle ways that few people truly understand. Even while he was on his leave, the guitar work on their Rock or Bust album, and on their latest tour, is different. Like something sounds off about it. That's Malcolm right there, anytime their music sounds different, or not as driving, it's because Malcolm Young is not involved.
Today we say goodbye to a true rock 'n' roll legend. Rest in peace.
