This takes place sometime before the games, Team Flare not even a dream.

The Kalos region goes on normally, full of Pokemon and trainers hoping to be the best, training to be the champions. But then things go horribly wrong. First its plants, the grass and flowers and trees withering away, the life being drained out of them. Then Pokemon start dying. A blight spreads across the region, and there is no known cause.

This happens after the RP starts.

Name: Vivian
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Pokemon on person: All 8 Eeveelutions, Vivillon, Noivern
Appearance: She wears a straw hat with a green ribbon, and a green shortsleeved top and brown shorts. She has leather gardening gloves she wears all the time. Her boots are brown as well. Her hair is the color of sunset, that reddish-orange, and her eyes are a leaf green.
Backstory: She's grown up on the berry farm, and spends all her time caring for the trees and for Pokemon. She can understand them and speak their language (Game pokemon language, not anime language). She was found by the Berry Farm owner with only a Vivillon, hence her name. She's very in-tune with the earth and she heals Pokemon with her berries. She doesn't use artificial medicines. She's kind and she goes on this quest to save her precious farm.

No, I mean that perfectly healthy Pokemon just die. There is seemingly no cause. Nothing physical is wrong with them... They look as if they were killed by the Killing Curse, to explain it better.

If it's okay for me to have a blatant self-insert/"Mary Sue" type... I'd like to do a variant of how "I would be if I lived in the Pokemon world," with some variation.

Name: Shadrach (no last name given). Known as "Shads" or "Shadsie" only to close friends.
Age: On the elder-end. 20 if that's the cut-off, older than that if that's not set in stone.
Gender: Female
Pokemon: Shads is a Dark Type specialist. The six she has at present are an Umbreon, an Absol, a Liepard, a Vulaby, a Houndour and a Murkrow. She is well-versed in the legend of the Yveltal and has made it her personal quest to seek the legendary pokemon. She prefers to travel alone and considers herself, like her beloved pokemon "creature of the margins." She feels that Dark Type pokemon are misunderstood and makes it a point to save them from mistreatment from trainers and hunters who revile them as "evil." (When the plague hit, in the little mountain village she called home, Dark Types were the first to start dying off and it seemed like no one cared - this fueled her quest to get to the bottom of what was going on).

Backstory: Originally from Sinnoh, Joe is a collector. After a few years in his home region, he decided to go traveling. Juts recently he came to Kalos to collect some of the native Pokemon. He has been to Sinnoh (of course) and Kanto. He's a bit of a loner, and can occupy himself. Has driven many away, however, with his random chatter.

Pokemon on person: Riolu (Anu), Noibat (Wyvern), Froakie (Ikol), Dragonite (Drako, used only for transport, as it is a pacifist), Fraxure (Goak)
Apparel: Spiky shoulder length brown hair. Striking blue eyes. Wears a black long sleeved t-shirt covered with a aqua Pokeball pattern jacket. Wears dark blue jeans and blue and white sneakers. He also wears a blue visor (hat) and light green shades (yes it hinders his eyesight, but for the culz!)
Backstory: Has strong Kanto in his roots. He aims to be a Dragon master, and travels through regions to train and learn more about the many Dragon type Pokemon. He has come to Kalos it's native Dragon Pokemon, and to challenge the Gyms to test his Dragons.

I don't think I gave Shadrach's appearance:

She's blond and blue-eyed, and has a preference for wearing black and dark purple. Wears a little pendant around her neck resembling a stylized skull.

Okay, I would prefer if you put a "City of Origin" aka where they can meet, maybe Salantune or Lumiose. ALL of Lumiose will be available, as I said, no Team Flare to steal power.
