Chespin
Spiny Nut Pokémon
The Grass-type Pokémon Chespin has a tough shell covering its head and back. Despite having a curious nature that tends to get it in trouble, Chespin keeps an optimistic outlook and doesn't worry about small details.
Fennekin
Fox Pokémon
Searing heat blows from the ears of the Fire-type Pokémon Fennekin. This Pokémon loves to snack on twigs. Fennekin can be temperamental, but it tries to do its best for its Trainer.
Froakie
Bubble Frog Pokémon
The Water-type Pokémon Froakie is both light and strong, making it capable of jumping incredibly high. The bubbles on its chest and back protect it from attacks. Froakie may appear absentminded, but in truth it pays close attention to its surroundings at all times.
Legendary Pokémon
Xerneas
Life Pokémon
ZURR-nee-us
Xerneas's Ability is Fairy Aura, which strengthens Fairy-type moves for all Pokémon in battle, including your opponent's Pokémon!
Xerneas is a Fairy-type—a brand-new type being introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Watch the awe-inspiring beauty of Xerneas’ exclusive move, Geomancy, which features rainbow-colored light that erupts from the earth around it. Xerneas has the special Ability Fairy Aura, which naturally takes effect in battle, strengthening Fairy-type moves for all Pokémon in battle. Be careful, because Fairy Aura also has a positive effect on opposing Pokémon that know Fairy-type moves.
Yveltal
Destruction Pokémon
ee-VELL-tawl
With Yveltal's Dark Aura Ability, the power of Dark-type moves increases for all Pokémon in play.
Dark- and Flying-type Yveltal is the only Pokémon that can learn the move Oblivion Wing, which sends Yveltal flying high into the sky to release a powerful beam of red light that scorches the ground below. The Destruction Pokémon’s special Ability, Dark Aura, is a counterpoint to Fairy Aura, raising the strength of Dark-type moves for all Pokémon in battle. This Ability is powerfully effective in Double and Triple Battles when facing multiple opponents simultaneously. So, when Yveltal is in battle, it’s smart for players to fill their team with Pokémon that can use Dark-type moves.
Bunnelby
Digging Pokémon
It is said that the Normal-type Pokémon Bunnelby creates its den by digging in the ground with its large, shovel-shaped ears.
Bunnelby's ears are strong enough to chop right through thick tree roots, making it a force to be reckoned with in battle!
Clauncher
Water Gun Pokémon
Clauncher is easily recognizable by the oversized claw on one of its arms. This useful claw can seize prey and shoot water at others as a projectile!
Clauncher's enormous claw can also crack boulders when the Pokémon is at close range.
Pokémon Developer Round-table said:The Water Gun Pokémon Clauncher uses its one oversized claw not only to seize prey but also to shoot condensed water at others as a projectile. This capability is so intense that it can crack a boulder! A Water-type Pokémon, Clauncher can also use its giant claw to crush opponents with the powerful Water-type move Crabhammer, which is more likely to land a critical hit. Critical hits against opposing Pokémon will do twice the usual damage.
It is now known that the previously announced Water-type Pokémon Clauncher can only be captured in Pokémon X, and the Poison- and Water-type Pokémon Skrelp can only be captured in Pokémon Y.
Dedenne
Antenna Pokémon
The round shape of Dedenne makes this Fairy-type Pokémon instantly recognizable. Dedenne has the Cheek Pouch Ability, new to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. If a Pokémon with this Ability eats a Berry during battle, it will not only reap the usual benefits of that Berry, but will also be able to regain HP.
By emitting radio waves from its antenna-shaped whiskers, it can communicate with far-off allies.
Flabébé
Single Bloom Pokémon
Another newly discovered Fairy-type Pokémon, Flabébé clings to a flower early on, and then cares for it for its entire life. Because of this, Flabébé may be found holding flowers of different colors.
Debuting as a Fairy-type Pokémon along with Sylveon, Flabébé lives atop a flower that it chooses soon after it’s born and will care for its entire life. Players may see different Flabébé holding flowers of different colors when encountering them in the wild. Flabébé is able to draw forth hidden powers that lie within its flower and use those powers in moves while battling. Flabébé knows Fairy Wind, a Fairy-type move debuting in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y that summons a wind that blasts an opponent as it attacks. Like all Fairy-type moves, it’s super effective against Dragon-type Pokémon.
Fletchling
Tiny Robin Pokémon
With a friendly nature and a beautiful chirp, Fletchling is a popular Pokémon among many Trainers. But Fletchling is also known to be ferocious in battle, capable of unleashing relentless attacks!
Gogoat
Mount Pokémon
Gogoat is so large that people are able to ride on its back. It's very calm, and can form a strong bond with its Trainer's feelings when its Trainer grabs onto its horns.
Pokémon Facebook Page said:If you don’t already know Gogoat, it’s a difficult Pokémon to miss! In fact, Gogoat is so large that people are able to ride on its back. Pretty handy for a Trainer on the go! Calm and loyal, Gogoat is a Grass-type Pokémon that can learn the helpful Horn Leech move.
Helioptile
Generator Pokémon
Helioptile charges itself by bathing in the light of the sun, providing it with enough energy that it doesn't need to eat!
Honedge
Sword Pokémon
Honedge comes into being when a departed spirit inhabits a sword that once belonged to humans. It can use the blue cloth attached to its hilt as nimbly as an arm. If you were to carelessly take this blade in hand, you may find that blue cloth wrapping around you...draining the energy from your body!

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y: Honedge Revealed! Video said:In Japanese its name is Hitotsuki (English names: Honedge). This Pokémon is a Steel- and Ghost- type Pokémon, and an ancient soul is thought to reside in the sword.
Pokémon Facebook Page said:Meet Honedge, a new Steel- and Ghost-type Pokémon recently revealed by GAME FREAK Director Mr. Masuda! A Steel- and Ghost-type Pokémon, Honedge is created when a departed spirit inhabits a sword that once belonged to humans.
Inkay
Revolving Pokémon
Transmitters above Inkay's eyes have the ability to drain the will to fight from other Pokémon. It uses this skill to run and hide when attacked by stronger enemies.
With Inkay's Contrary Ability, any effect that would lower its stats increases them instead!
Players will encounter Inkay in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. This Dark- and Psychic-type Pokémon has the ability to drain other Pokémon’s will to fight by flashing the transmitters above its eyes—giving Inkay the opportunity either to attack its foes or to hide from them. It’s said that the flashing emitted from Inkay’s transmitters can also be used to communicate with its friends. Inkay can learn a new Dark-type move, Topsy-Turvy, a tricky move that will reverse all of the stat changes that are affecting a target. For instance, if opponents increase their Attack and Defense stats during battle, it will suddenly come back to bite them when Topsy-Turvy is used.
Litleo
Lion Cub Pokémon
The hot-blooded Litleo is always ready for a good fight! Its mane blazes with heat during battle, burning hotter and hotter the stronger its opponent.
Litleo is a young, hot-blooded Pokémon that is always ready for a battle. A Fire- and Normal-type Pokémon, Litleo’s red mane blazes with heat during battle, which burns hotter when it battles very strong opponents. Litleo knows a new Normal-type move in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, Noble Roar. Useful against strong opponents, Noble Roar intimidates targets and lowers their Attack stat.
Malamar
Overturning Pokémon
The evolved form of Inkay, Malamar wields some of the strongest hypnotic powers of any Pokémon and can make its opponents bend to its will.
Malamar looks different from Inkay and has different stats, but its Contrary Ability remains the same.
The Dark- and Psychic-type Pokémon Malamar is the evolved form of Inkay and may have the strongest hypnotic force of any known Pokémon, helping it to bend opponents to its will. As a result, humans with ill intentions try to use Malamar to aid in their devious plots. Malamar can learn the Psychic-type move Hypnosis, which leaves opponents asleep and for the most part unable to take any actions during battle.
Noivern
Sound Wave Pokémon
Noivern is extremely combative toward anything that wanders too close to it. It flies through even the darkest nights using ultrasonic waves it emits from its ears. This Pokémon loves fruit, and feeding it fruit will keep it calm.
The Sound Wave Pokémon Noivern is a Flying- and Dragon-type Pokémon that is extremely combative and will attack anything that wanders too close to it. Flying through the dark night with ease, Noivern uses the ultrasonic waves it emits from its ears to attack. These waves are so strong they can reduce large boulders to small pebbles. A new Normal-type move in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y that perfectly suits Noivern is Boomburst. This move emits an explosive sound wave that attacks all surrounding Pokémon with the resulting energy. But beware—Boomburst will also strike any nearby allies, so consider the situation and your team’s types before using it!
Pancham
Playful Pokémon
With its trademark leaf always sticking out of its mouth, Pancham tries to intimidate its opponents by glaring at them intensely (although this is rarely successful).
If you haven’t met Pancham, a new Fighting-type Pokémon, you’re missing out! Despite its cute appearance, Pancham knows the importance of having your game face ready. With its trademark leaf always sticking out of its mouth, Pancham tries to intimidate its opponents by glaring at them intensely. It can also learn the new Parting Shot move.
Pangoro
Daunting Pokémon
Pangoro is the evolved form of Pancham. It's a cantankerous Pokémon, but it has a strong heart and doesn't forgive those who pick on the weak.
Pangoro has the Iron Fist Ability, which strengthens punching moves.
It is now known that Fighting- and Dark-type Pangoro evolves from spunky little Pancham. This evolved Pokémon has a violent temperament, but it also believes in fairness and does not forgive those who pick on the weak. The leaf Pangoro carries in its mouth can predict its opponent’s moves. By waving its strong, heavy arms, Pangoro uses the Fighting-type move Hammer Arm to inflict great damage on opponents. It does lower the user’s Speed, but Hammer Arm’s power is tremendous.
Scatterbug
Scatterdust Pokémon
The Bug-type Scatterbug resides mostly in forests and wild plains. After Scatterbug has reached a high enough level, it will evolve into Spewpa.
This Bug type uses the fur around its neck to control its body temperature.
As Pokémon evolve, they take on new appearances and learn new moves. Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will introduce the Bug-type Pokémon Scatterbug. Scatterbug knows String Shot, a Bug-type move that can lower the Speed stat of opposing Pokémon.
Skiddo
Mount Pokémon
The gentle-natured Skiddo is said to have been the first Pokémon to live alongside humans. Thanks to living with humans so long, it doesn’t seem to mind carrying people or loads on its back. Skiddo evolves into Gogoat, another Pokémon you'll be able to ride!
Skiddo has become able to read the feelings of its riders through their grip on its horns.
Skrelp
Mock Kelp Pokémon
Disguised by its shape, Skrelp pretends to be a piece of seaweed. When prey gets too close, Skrelp bathes it in poison to keep it from struggling.
Pokémon Developer Round-table said:Some would say that the Poison- and Water-type Pokémon Skrelp appears to be nothing more than a rotting piece of kelp, but don’t let its appearance fool you. Using its unique look to its benefit, Skrelp pretends to be a piece of seaweed, and when prey wander past it, Skrelp bathes them in poison so they can’t struggle when it attacks. Skrelp uses the Poison-type move Sludge Bomb, a move that can leave opposing Pokémon poisoned. A poisoned Pokémon will slowly take damage over the length of a battle
Pokémon Facebook Page said:Have you met Skrelp yet? It can be easy to miss if you're not careful. In fact, this Poison- and Water-type Pokémon uses its shape to disguise itself as a piece of seaweed, a helpful trick for poisoning unsuspecting prey.
It is now known that the previously announced Water-type Pokémon Clauncher can only be captured in Pokémon X, and the Poison- and Water-type Pokémon Skrelp can only be captured in Pokémon Y.
Spewpa
Scatterdust Pokémon
Spewpa is the middle Pokémon of this evolutionary chain. With enough experience gained from battle, Spewpa will eventually evolve into Vivillon.
Spewpa gains a stiff carapace once it evolves from Scatterbug, so less forceful attacks will hardly make a scratch.
Scatterbug evolves into Spewpa, another new Bug-type Pokémon that can withstand half-hearted attacks due to its stiff, fur-covered body. Use the Normal-type move Protect at a beginning of a turn to protect Spewpa from moves used against it on that turn.
Spritzee
Perfume Pokémon
Spritzee is a Pokémon that can be found in the wild only in Pokémon Y. It emits a unique fragrance from its body, and any who smell it fall under its spell.
Only available for capture in Pokémon Y, the new Fairy-type Pokémon Spritzee emits a unique fragrance that causes anyone who smells it to fall under its spell. Spritzee can learn the Grass-type move Aromatherapy, which causes a Pokémon to exude a relaxing fragrance that heals its allies’ status conditions, such as sleep and poison.
Swirlix
Cotton Candy Pokémon
Exclusive to Pokémon X, Swirlix loves sweets and eats nothing else, making its body as sweet and sticky as cotton candy.
Swirlix's Sweet Veil Ability is new to Pokémon X and Y. It keeps Swirlix's Pokémon teammates from falling asleep.
The Fairy-type Pokémon Swirlix, which can only be captured in Pokémon X, comes with the new Ability Sweet Veil that keeps Pokémon on the same team from being left asleep in battle. Use Swirlix when facing Double and Triple Battles featuring Pokémon that know moves like Hypnosis. Swirlix can learn the new Fairy-type move Draining Kiss, which does damage to a target while also restoring some HP to the user. Battles will be much easier when you can attack an opponent with Draining Kiss and restore your Pokémon’s health at the same time. Swirlix only eats sweets, causing its body to be sweet and sticky, like cotton candy.
Sylveon
Intertwining Pokémon
Sylveon is a newly discovered Evolution of Eevee! Experienced Pokémon Trainers know that Eevee can evolve into seven different types, and now a new Eevee Evolution with a different type has been revealed! Sylveon is one of the first Pokémon clearly identified as a Fairy-type Pokémon. This means that Eevee can now evolve into eight possible Pokémon, each with a different type!
The Fairy-type Sylveon is an Intertwining Pokémon that can manipulate its ribbonlike feelers at will and can emit from them an aura that can calm people and other Pokémon. It often wraps these feelers around the arm of its Trainer as it walks behind him or her. Sylveon can learn Moonblast, a new Fairy-type move debuting in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Moonblast calls on the power of the moon to attack an opposing Pokémon. This move can be very powerful and also lowers the opposing Pokémon’s Attack stat.
Talonflame
Scorching Pokémon
An evolved form of the recently announced Fletchling, Talonflame is a Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon that gains a whole new level of speed and firepower. It dives at foes, and then attacks with devastating kicks.
Pokémon Developer Round-table said:An evolved form of the recently announced Fletchling, Talonflame, is a Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon that gains a whole new level of speed and firepower. Reaching speeds of up to 310 mph when diving for its prey, Talonflame can attack its foes with devastating kicks while embers spew from its body as it zooms through the sky. Talonflame knows Brave Bird, one of the strongest Flying-type moves. Use Brave Bird carefully, though, because the incredible strength of this move also does damage to the user.
Pokémon Facebook Page said:Meet Talonflame! An evolved form of Fletchling, this Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon gains a whole new level of speed and firepower. Flames actually pour from its body as it flies through the air.
Vivillon
Scale Pokémon
In its final Evolution, in addition to becoming stronger, Vivillon also changes its type. You can continue to level up the Pokémon to make it even stronger!
After evolving from Spewpa, Vivillon gains beautiful wings.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will introduce the new Bug- and Flying-type Pokémon Vivillon. It’s said there’s a secret behind the colorful decorative pattern on Vivillon’s wings, which it uses to scatter its scales or create a strong wind to attack. Vivillon can learn Struggle Bug, a Bug-type move that lowers the Special Attack of any opposing Pokémon it hits, so the move not only causes damage but also reduces the damage inflicted on Vivillon from certain moves during battle.
