Pokemon Storyline Games Not Anymore on Gameboy

Hello everyone,

well, I want to know your opinion as we all know Pokemon, the storyline, games used to be all on a game boy. well thing is, Nintendo themselves admitted that the Nintendo DS is not a follower to the game boy and is their own parallel release to the Gamecube/Wii and the game boy series.

for a proving fact to that

N-DS released 2004
Game boy micro 2005

so, in my opinion releasing Pokemons like soul silver and heart gold, and other if I remember correct, is just not right. it destroyed to me the meaning of it. I used to collect every Gameboy and Pokemon game, back then when the Pokemons for N-DS were released I sold all my pokemon games because it was not the same anymore. I used to love how on the side of every pokemon box was written "game boy".

well, I might be overreacting, but how do you all fear about that change of matters.

I hope this was not posted yet on the site, but I could not find it...

so, your opinions please, would be really appreciated.

greetings Wolfs

p.S as you might read from the whole post, I'm pretty much against the change of matters and think they should make a new release to the game boy series.

well, can be very true, which is sad, I really don't like the overload of new features to that console, I just want 1 screen a pad 4 bottens and an L-R switch... that's all I want and no chat and touchpad or more

I had almost all the gameboy games of pokemon too, but even though they made new games for different systems, they are different from the originals quite a bit. I'm not againt it expanding systems, I just think the gameboy versions should be more appriciated(if you know what I mean...) because they are great games. The thing I'm against is the fact they keep making more generations... honestly, when I look at the 5th generation, at least half of them look like they don't have any thought put into them. I like going back and playing my gameboy(I won't sell it even though I have a DS) with the older games because they are fun, and simple... I wish they were woth more to sell though, so if I did end up selling it when I got older, I wouldn't get 10$ or less for it.
