Yes, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed it. It will be at E3 this year.

Yes, they are making it for the Wii U and will be officially unveiling it at this year's E3.

They're gonna make it though the details of its release IIRC are not known at this time. As echoed previously, it's gonna be unveiled at E3 this year. Can't wait -- haven't "seriously" played ANY Pikmin game but from what I DID play of Pikmin 2 it was absolute fun!
