I agree with the all or nothing thing. If we're going to do it, we need to go all the way. The ORAS event kind of proved that even as novelty it was still rather underwhelming. So it returning every now and again wouldn't really increase participation all that much.
Thing is, you can work events into an already established clan system instead of vice versa (like we did with ORAS). I'm fairly split, I like the concept of clans, but would it work or just be a fad that wears away? That's why I think, if we do go with it, we have to go all the way with it. Make sections, have dedicated clan mods/leaders, have events specific to clans etc.
