dumb question.......how do u get to the spirit temple as a kid?

... Spirit Temple, you mean desert one right? (some people confuse it with the shadow temple lol)
Sheik should teach you a warp song (Requiem of Spirit), which you can then play as a kid to get you back there.
There's one of those grey stone warp spots around nearby, but I think Sheik teaches it you anyway when you approach the temple~

Let's see, to get to the spirit temple as a child you must follow thy steps:

Step 1
I don't find this nessicary but do the shadow temple before the spirit you will need then hover boot's.

Step 2
Infiltrate the Gerudo's fortress and free all four carpenter's.

Step 3 (3 phases)
Cross the desert, you will need some items first the longshot and len's of truth.

~Phase 1
Go through the entrance to the desert once you are there climb on top of the nearby crate and longshot at one of the other crates across from the pit sand.

Phase 2
Follow the flags layed about the wide space of desert until you reach a small stone outpost.

Phase 3
Pull out your len's of truth when you are on top of the stone outpost and you will meet a friendly poe who will guide you through the rest of the desert.~

Step 4
Go to the temple and enter there are some stairs and stuff but you can forget that, exit the temple and leave it.

Step 5
You will meet Sheik and she will teach you the requiem of spirit.

Step 6
Go to the temple of time and go back to kid form and play the requiem of spirit and walla you have just made it to the spirit temple as a child.

You meet Sheik once you try to enter the Spirit Temple I think, It should just show you a cutscene where he jumps down and teaches you the Requiem of Spirit (I think).

If he doesn't do it when you enter leave and find a Triforce imprinted on somestone thing that you can stand on and pull out your ocarina...

Complete the forest temple. Then go into the Temple of time and Shiek will teach you the prelude of light. Make sure you don't play the prelude of light until after you've walked out of the Spirit Temple. When you walk out, Shiek will teach you the Requiem of Spirit. After that, go back to the ToT and drop the master sword into the pedestal of time. Play the Reqiuem of spirit to warp to desert collosus. You're at the spirit temple as a kid.

Sheik will appear to teach you the Requiem of Spirit in the Desert Colossus. What you have to do is enter the Spirit Temple, then leave it. Then, he will appear and teach you the melody.
