Don't see how it could ruin the series, It would only get better. Maybe next Zelda game can be more Industrial like Fable III the one after that might be very primitive.. I like it when they change between the games, NOT when they mix Bows and Arrows with Trains and Boats. Instead of mixing it up in one game they could make another one entirely based on i.e an industrial theme.

Archaic modernization is fine with me. We have bombs since the beginning and cannons not long after. I even find things like telephones on Koholint alright. But vehicles and modern weaponry... eh...
