Mirror of Twilight

Okay as the title states this is about a certain mystery in tp with the mirror of twilight. Now 2 pieces were held by monsters, 1 piece was in the mirror chamber in the desert, and the last one was found by two innocent and friendly yetis. Now at the 'bedroom' in the dungeon they call home there is a cutscene in which yeta the female yeti looks into the mirror shard and becomes possessed by it. And then she becomes blizzeta and you then use your mace to bring her back to her normal self and you get the mirror shard and a heart container. Now recently a thought came to my mind while giving blizzeta a smack down. How could the mirror shard be evil if the goddesses left it as a link to the twilight realm? My theory is that maybe when zant broke it into fragments he used evil magic (ganny's power) to do so and the evil turned the fragments into evil items. Please post peoples.

I think pretty much that and there is some proof around it i mean look the spiders roaming in Temple of time must have found it and accidentlly touched. and the same goes with the kargsrocks roaming in the sky.

I think your theory could be right, but I have another theory.

I always tought that when the Mirror got destroyed, the shards becomes evil because it is made of magic. It's not an ordinary mirror, so by being shattered, the shards became evil because they are not together like they are supposed to. So the Mirror would not be in balance, thus, becoming evil. It's like Ying & Yang. And when the Mirror reassemble in one piece, it becomes balance like it is supposed to.

...Hope that wasn't confusing..

Ya know i think you're right Z-money. Cuz the triforce is all about balance and when someone with their properties unbalnced touches the triforce as a whole he/she keeps the triforce piece that they have the most of and that might just be the same sort of thing with the mirror of twilight.

BREAKING NEWS
I've been playing twilight princess again and i beat armogohma the boss of the temple of time and midna mentioned 'the evil in these shards is more powerful than we could imagine'. This might just be from zarom's theory or something or maybe it was always an evil object. But this seems kinda unlikely.

Hmm.

It could merely be different types of magics that are not supposed to mix. The Twilight Mirror is something of the Twilight Realm, which is a different place and runs on different energies than the Light Realm. Maybe the Mirror isn't really "evil," per se, just that it's particular energies are like oil to the Light Realm's water - opposite forces.

"Evil" could have been used to describe it because it was simpler to convey the danger inherent in the mirror than a big long explaination of the opposed magics.

Though, I think it is just as possible that the Mirror itself was neutral until Zant broke it and the shards absorbed his evil power.

I think that it is because its magical power was so alurring that it caused Yeta to want it so bad that she couldn't let it go without a fight. It is kind of like the Triforce in aLttP, it took good people and turned them into greedy monsters. Both are powerful artifacts created by the Godesses, so it is easy to see how both could have the same effect on people.

Maybe the mirror isn't evil at all. It could have just somehow brought out the most basic instincts in yeta. Seeing as how yetis are usually portrayed as being aggressive, yetas basic instincts turned her into a raging, monster-like yeti.

That all might be true shadsie. About the mirror's magic being like evil magic would be in the light world and that the mirror might have just been neutral (not good and not evil) until zant broke it and the shards absorbed that evil power. One thing that Zarom mentioned above is that they're probably balnced between good and evil or something like that and when zant broke it he massively tipped the scale in the evil direction so to speak. Who knows. But i'm going with yours and zarom's explanations.
