Ocarina of Time

Link was born Hylian but raised Kokiri and is approx 10 years old when we meet him, he had no fairy, his only friend was Saria. His Mother was running from a war when she asked the Great Deku Tree, a large ancient tree deity, to take him in, which he did with help from the Kokiri Children, Link grows lonely and outcast amongst them, made worse by Mido’s bullying. He is the only Kokiri with no fairy; we meet him along with Navi, who is to be his fairy companion.

When The Great Deku Tree falls ill to a parasite, Gohma, he asks Link to deal with it knowing he will die. After Link defeats Gohma, he gifts Link the Kokiri stone and the advice to visit Princess Zelda in Hyrule Castle. As Link crosses the bridge to leave the Forest he is stopped by Saria, his best and only friend, stops him. She gives him the Fairy Ocarina and a wish for him to return and keep in touch.

Link enters Hyrule Field and goes to Hyrule Castle where he meets Malon, a ranch girl on deliveries with her dad, who has been too long with the milk delivery, she asks him to hunt down her dad, Talon in return for an egg she’s been incubating. Link sneaks past the guards in the Castle grounds, past the gate, where he meets Talon, nestled in amongst his milk crates fast asleep, as the egg hatches with a Cucco which crows loudly and proudly, waking Talon. This reminds Talon of Malon and how mad she would be at him for forgetting about her, he leaves his delivery crates behind for Link to manoeuvre into a position so he can jump into the sewers, past the guards into the inner courtyard, to meet, Her Royal Highness, Princess Zelda who shows him the Gerudo King Ganondorf through the window she was looking through. She tells Link about her dreams with the symbolisms, the Darkness that is Ganondorf and the light breaking through that is Link with his Emerald.

She requests that Link go and get the other Spiritual stones from the Gorons and Zoras. Leaving Zelda he meets Impa, Zelda’s Sheikah nursemaid, who teaches Link ‘Zelda’s Lullaby’ a tune that helps him reach other places he can’t access, Impa also helps him out of the Castle grounds and tells him to head to Kakariko Village, her old home village, Link heads to Kakariko village and sees the Gate to Death Mountain, home to the Gorons, a rock eating race. To get there he shows the guard the seal the Princess gave him for this purpose. The guard opens the gate requesting that Link (or Mr. Hero as he calls him) finds him a Keaton mask if he can. Link climbs Death Mountain to find the Leader Darunia in a rage and wont calm down so Link leaves to hunt a way to help. He returns to Kokiri forest and finds Saria in the Sacred Forest and she teaches him Saria’s Song a method to contact her at any time, using Saria’s Song Darunia calms down and explains the reason he was mad, Ganon had blocked off Dodongo’s cavern, where the delicious rocks, that they ate, were mined and now they have an infestation of dodongos. Darunia gives Link a Goron’s Bracelet which allows Link to pick up bomb flowers. Link blows the stone blocking the cave and explores finding a bomb bag which allows him to get into the large dead dodongo and beat King Dodongo by throwing bombs down his throat and slashing him.

Darunia meets Link outside the cave gives him the Gorons Ruby, aka the Spiritual Stone of Fire and announces Link as a Sworn Brother, he also suggests that Link visit the fairy on top of Death Mountain, who gives him Magic.

He visits Lon Lon Ranch where he finds Talon and Malon and Ingo working (well Talon slacking!!) Malon introduces Link to her friend Epona, a young mare who responses to a song called Epona’s song. After this little detour Link goes to Zora's Domain following a stream to its source waterfall a plaque lies in front with the Royal family’s emblem, the Triforce, in front, Link plays Zelda’s Lullaby on this, causing the waterfall to split and Link can hop through the gap.

He meets King Zora who has lost his daughter Princess Ruto. Link enters a diving contest to win a Zora scale which allows him to dive deeper and longer through a tunnel, which leads to Lake Hylia where he finds a letter in a bottle from Ruto saying she is trapped inside Lord Jabu-Jabu the Zora Deity. Link shows King Zora the letter and King Zora does one of the slowest, funniest seat shuffles ever to allow Link to Lord Jabu-Jabu’s chambers. Link catches a fish as a bribe to help get into Lord Jabu-Jabu’s guts.

Inside Lord Jabu-Jabu stomach are strange jellyfish and vortexes but Link finds what he came for, Princess Ruto who is hunting for her Mother’s Sapphire. She commands Link to carry her in search of her mother’s sapphire. They find the stone on a platform that Link throws Ruto onto, as she touches it, the platform rises and it bounces back down with a big Octo in her place, Link makes short work of it, jumps onto the platform, rides it up with no sign of Ruto. He follows the path to find the boss Barinade; he throws his boomerang at it a few times severing the connection between Barinade and Lord Jabu-Jabu. He finds Ruto safe in a warp crystal, she gives him the Zora’s sapphire, the spiritual stone of water and the Zora’s engagement ring, meaning that Link and Ruto are now engaged.

Link runs back to Hyrule Castle, only to find he’s too late, Zelda and Impa are fleeing Ganon, who we can assume has staged a coup, Link gets in Ganon’s way but is blasted with power and blacks out. Link retrieves the Ocarina of Time that Zelda threw in the moat and receives a vision of Zelda playing ‘The Song of Time’ and a request that Link play it in the Temple of Time Link does so and the crystals float into their slots and the back of the Temple opens revealing the Bane of Evil, The Master Sword that Navi recognises and tells Link to pluck it out of it pedestal, and he blacks out as he does.

Good summary! If you were to describe a bit more about each character instead of just saying the name, I think it could help the writing.

Adult Link

Link awakens after 7 years asleep with Rauru, the Sage of Light, watching him. Rauru tells Link that Ganon got in after Link opened the door, wished for power and imposed his evil on the world. Link was thought to be too young to wield the Master Sword so they put him to sleep for 7 years until he was worthy, Rauru also gives Link the Light Medallion. Link can't use some of the tools he used as a kid (fairy slingshot, boomerang); it is revealed by Sheik after he leaves the Chamber of Sages with the Light Medallion, Sheik also tells Link to head Kakariko Village to find a new tool, who also recites a prophecy.
'One in a deep forest...

One on a high mountain...

One under a vast lake...

One within the house of the dead...

One inside a goddess of the sand... '
Link heads to Kakariko Village's graveyard and meets Dampè the gravekeeper's ghost who challenges Link to a race to win a hookshot. Link enters the forest and makes his way to the sacred meadow where he has fond memories but his way is blocked by Moblins patrolling, he uses the hookshot to take them out and gets to Saria's stump but she isn’t there. Sheik appears and informs Link that she is trapped in the Forest Temple and teaches him the first warp song 'Minuet of Forest'. Link enters the forest temple, a decaying old mansion haunted by the Poe sisters Amy in the green, Joelle in orange, Beth in blue and Meg in purple. They steal the coloured Flames that somehow hold the lift up making it recede into the ground, Jo and Beth are first to be found but Link can’t do anything till he gets the fairy bow. He defeats these two, Amy is next to be vanquished even though she makes a puzzle out of her blocks, Link drags her blocks to complete the picture and she erupts to be killed. Link exits onto a balcony above a sobbing Meg, Link jumps down to start the fight Meg makes copies of herself, but only one is real and solid that Link shoots it a few times to reactivate the lift. Link descends to a room with rotatable walls with bars on some doors; Link has to push the walls to get to the switches to open the bars to get to the boss room. Phantom Ganon rides into paintings and back out, Link shoots the right one until they start playing 'energy ball tennis' until Phantom Ganon is defeated, they then hear Ganon berating Phantom Ganon and banishing him to the void between worlds for his failure. Link steps into the transport crystal and is taken back to the Chamber of Sages Saria has awoken as the Forest Sage and gives him the Forest Medallion.
Link heads to Death Mountain and meets Darunia's son, named after Link who he worships, he is panicking rolling around the city until Link stops him and asks about the other Gorons, Goron Link tells Link the others were taken by Ganon to feed to Volvagia in the Fire Temple, he informs Link of a secret passage behind the statue in Darunia's room and gives Link a Goron's tunic, that will allow him to resist the heat of the volcano. Link pulls the statue out and enters the Death Mountain Crater and on a half collapsed bridge he meets Sheik who teaches him 'the Bolero of Fire', Link tries to ask Sheik something but Sheik disappears behind a wall of flame. Link enters the temple and heads to the only door he can and sees Darunia about to enter Volvagia's room, and Darunia tells Link that he’s gonna try to beat Volvagia but he’s worried because he doesn't have the Legendary Hammer. Darunia asks Link to explore and find the other Gorons trapped in the temple there is one next to the door Darunia went through. Link explores the temple, saving other Gorons and meets the 'fire dancers' a being cloaked in fire that he bombs and slashes until he gets the Megaton Hammer and he can pound the ground around it. Link find his way to the boss chamber, he encounters the long snake like dragon, Volvagia who Link plays whack-a-mole with her, while avoiding the lava rock showers that Volvagia rains down. When Link beats Volvagia and transports to the Chamber of Sages Darunia is revealed as the Sage of Fire and presents Link with the Fire Medallion.

Link next heads to Zora's Domain which is frozen over the only Zora in sight is King Zora who is encased in red ice. Link heads to Lord Jabu-Jabu who isn't there; in his place is a large chunk of ice that Link can jump across to the other chunks of ice on his way to the ice cavern where he finds blue fire that will melt the ice and the Iron Boots, Sheik reappears and teaches Link the Serenade of Water and the information that he saved one Zora from the ice. Link uses the blue flame on King Zora who gives him the Zora’s Tunic, a blue tunic that allows him to breathe underwater. When Link plays the Serenade of Water he is warped to Lake Hylia which is depleted of water. Link puts on the iron boots, sinks, and finds the hookshot is the only equipment he can use underwater, which he uses on the fish head crystal to open the Gate to the water temple. The temple is a large flooded building set over 3 floors with tekkies and rock spikes. Link finds his way to a ground floor underwater room and is shocked to see Ruto, now a grown Zora, she is angry at Link for leaving her for 7 years but she wants to save Zora’s Domain. She shows Link one of three plaques that Link can play Zelda’s Lullaby in front of to change the water levels to access different doors. After further exploration Link fights Dark Link for a longshot, a more ranged version of his hookshot, Link makes his way to the boss’s lair. Morpha is a pink blob floating in the water that makes tentacles to try and strangle Link which Link dodges and longshots the blob to him so he can slash it with his sword. The water drains out of the ceiling revealing the warp light so Link can see Ruto is now the water sage and receives the water medallion.

Link visits the windmill in Kakariko village and meets the music player who loves spinning his music box and watching the windmill go around, he is angry about something that happened seven years ago, he tells Link about it, a young boy played a tune which made the windmill go crazy, Link pulls out his ocarina and is taught the 'Song of Storms' making the windmill go crazy. He goes back in time and plays the 'Song of Storms' at the windmill, this makes the water in the well drain out and Link can venture down the well, he explores, avoiding the bubbles, he comes upon a dead hand, a decaying humanoid with stumps for hands, and big teeth that it uses to try and chomp Link while underground tentacles holds him. Link manages to vanquish the dead hand revealing a chest with the Lens of truth inside that lets Link see what is hidden, Link exits the well and returns to Kakariko Village as an adult. Kakariko village is being terrorised by a shadow being, Sheik is battling the being as it swarms over the village, it knocks out Link as he prepares to defend himself. When he regains consciousness Sheik teaches him 'the Nocturne of Shadow' and informs Link that Impa has gone to try and seal the darkness. Link plays 'the Nocturne of Shadow' and warps to the graveyard, where there are a lot of unlit lamps waiting to be lit, using Dins fire, which he received from the fairy by Hyrule Castle as a child, lighting the flames makes the door to the Shadow Temple open. Link enters and sees an image of a spooky face informing him that 'Hyrule's bloody history lies here' Link can’t go straight ahead as the gap is too big so using the Lens he finds another way and is met by a dead hand which he slays and is rewarded with the hover boots, which makes him lighter than air, he uses the boots to float over the large gap and explore the rest of the temple where he encounters large double sided statues with large axes that rotate, some heads that spin and Link has to throw bombs into them to receive keys and money. Eventually he comes upon a large ship that takes him to a thin stretch of ground with large pillars, he uses a fire arrow on some bomb flowers under one of the pillars and it makes a bridge to the boss’s ante-chamber. He goes through to the boss’s lair and meets Bongo-Bongo, a large, headless, enthusiastic drummer and Link is standing on the drum and Bongo-Bongo tries to swat Link off with his hands that keep disappearing. Link beats him and it Impa is revealed to be Shadow Sage presenting him with a Shadow Medallion.

Link goes to Lon Lon Ranch and finds it changed, Ingo is in charge with no sign of Talon, and Malon is still there but as a lackey humming Epona’s song to herself. Link pays to ride Epona and when Ingo realises who Link is riding, is fuming because he promised Epona to Ganondorf to so he challenges Link to two races that Link wins, in bad loser style he locks Link and Epona in the ranch. Link jumps Epona over a large fence to escape, ending near Gerudo Valley, he decides to go into the valley and Epona has to do another jump and meets Mutoh, he explains that his builders have run to join the Gerudo, a tribe of red headed women, and the builders haven’t come back, he asks Link to rescue them, which Link does beating the guards. When Link has rescued all four craftsmen, he is made an honorary Gerudo with a certificate and told about the rule that the only Gerudo male born every 100 years is to be their ruler, and the second-in-command Nabooru is at the temple out in the desert where Link needs to pass two trials, using ‘feet lighter than air and the eyes that see the truth’. Link uses his hover boots to travel through the desert using the red flags as a guide until he gets to a small stone hut with steps leading to the roof he climbs up and puts the lens of truth on to see his guide, a friendly poe that takes him through the desert until they reach the Desert Colossus and enter the temple which is in the shape of a woman. He cannot explore much as one way is a crawl space and the other is blocked by a big unmovable slab, Link leaves and meets Sheik outside and learns the ‘Requiem of Spirit’. Link returns to the Temple of Time and learns another song ‘the Prelude of Light’ to return swiftly, he places the sword back in its pedestal and is a child again. Link warps back to the Desert and meets Nabooru, lone wolf, leader of the Gerudo at the crawl space. She is surprised by Link but asks him to crawl through and get the treasure at the end for her, promising something ‘amazing’. Link goes through and encounters some bad creatures and slays these and explores the area until he reaches an area with a Darknut. The Darknut is hampered by its heavy armour slowing it down but Link’s attacking it dislodges the armour speeding it up, but Link wins and goes through the door to be on a hand with a chest hiding the silver gauntlets, hearing a racket Link peers over the side and sees two ancient crones performing dark magic on Nabooru sucking her down as she screams at Link to save himself! The twin witches disappear taking Nabooru with them. Link heads back to the future and find himself wearing the silver gauntlets that gives the wearer strength, when he gets back to the spirit temple he can explore behind the slab, there’s a mini goddess statue wearing a snakes skin hoodie, her face hides a passage that Link has to use the mirror shield to reflect light to erode it. He encounters another Darknut beating it to find a brainwashed Nabooru who is warped away by the witches who taunt Link, inviting him to their chamber. Link enters the chamber and is introduced properly to Koume, mistress of Flame and her sister Kotake, mistress of Ice, surrogate grandmothers to Ganondorf. Link has to reflect their elements to the other sister, fire to ice and vice versa when they’ve had enough of this they merge to become a giant younger woman using the brooms as wands firing ice or fire, Link using basically the same method as before beats them and after, somehow the two get sent to heaven, Nabooru awakens as the Spirit Stage and gives the Spirit Medallion.

Link heads to the Temple of Time and is met by Sheik who reveals himself to be Princess Zelda in disguise, she learnt some tricks from Impa and pretended to be male to hide from Ganon, she presents Link with the Light arrows just before Ganon traps her in a pink crystal and brags about how he let Link run around in the hopes it would draw Zelda out of hiding, he taunts Link to come to the Castle and save her.

Link heads to what was pristine idyllic Hyrule Castle but is now Ganon's dark Castle floating over a large lava pit, the sages use their magic to make a colourful bridge for Link to cross and enter the castle, then he is in a large round-ish room with a central room being blocked off by a magic barrier using magic from 6 surrounding rooms, Link enters one of the rooms and it is reminiscent of one the temples, using the tools that he found in the temples he finds a medallion coloured orb, Link shoots these with his light arrows revealing the sage within saying the barrier is down. Link does this for each of the temple's rooms to dispel the barrier and he can get into the central rooms, where he has to fight some enemies until he reaches Ganon's Chamber, he finds Ganon playing an organ which disappears when he realises Link is there to save Zelda.
Link and Ganon get into some energy-ball-tennis when Link hits Ganon with his 'ball', Link shoots Ganon with Light arrows and slashes him when down. This eventually frees Zelda and causes an earthquake that hits the castle so Link and Zelda have to escape through the rooms where Link fought the monsters. They get out of the castle and are watching it crumble when Ganon erupts out of the wreckage and calls on the Triforce of Power and is transformed into a large pig like creature that knocks the Master Sword out of Links hand to behind a barrier. Link uses other weapons to hit Pig-Ganon’s tail a bunch of times to disable the barrier and grab the sword and kill him once and for all.....
