I don't think the idea of forcing people to play as a female protaganist would be a good idea. How 'bout the old 'gender slecetion' option. It works in other games, and could work in Zelda. Although Link is pretty femine as it is. In the end though I don't like the idea of having a FORCED female lead. At least not in Zelda.

Wow.... I never thought of Link being a girl. That would be..... AWESOME. The items could be mostly the same as what Link usually gets. On the Timeline, I would have no idea where it is placed. A girl needs some time to shine as a hero. However, just be aware that "Rule 34," would totally abuse the fact of Link being a girl.
