Breath of the Wild How screwed would Hyrule actually had been if Link and Zelda really did die in the calamity

That isn't the issue. Its clear Link is still using Courage, Zelda Wisdom, and Ganon is Power. That is my point. Even if the Triforce is not mentioned, the characteristics of the shards is still evidently in those characters.

Calamity Ganon gets his mechanical sheikah tech powered body, and I guess he tries to wipe out Hyrule, idk. His motives for wanting that mechanical body are unclear and even when he was being sealed in the castle by Zelda, he could've had the Blights do way more damage to Hyrule with the Divine Beasts than they actually did.

Probably at some point Link and Zelda get reincarnated though because historically, Ganondorf/Ganon never fully enacts destruction of everything lol.

I know, and I'm glad those three remain. But I just find it funny how history is so poorly preserved in Hyrule, that they don't even know their origins anymore.

Ganon is the Loki of the Zelda Universe, its hardwired in him to fail lol.

If Link fails, now Zelda could save the day cuz of Echoes. Now Ganon has two heroes to contend with. Zelda always assisted, a la Shiek, but now she herself can save Hyrule.

If Zelda died, Ganon isn't contained, he could go literally anywhere and no one could stop him.
