How often do you try something new at a restaurant?

Only if I find something better than what I have been ordering. However, I can't stray from my beautiful salmon. It would be too painful for my pescatarian body.

it's rare that I find a dish so good that I always get it at a visit to a restaurant, so I like to shop around and try flavors that I haven't experienced before. I'm learning that I'm not the biggest fan of greek food, for example. I like the Arby's gyros tho

Rarely, I stick to my usual. Though I have been pleasantly surprised when I do try something new.

I'd say once in a blue moon, though I would say more often if I was in charge of buying things. But I usually have to like what's advertised in the new meal for me to like it. More often than not, it's usually not the case.

My struggle is when new item appears on a menu, If I like it they discontinue it..

I asked a friend once how can I tell whether I go to a restaurant too often and he said "when you order the usual" but honestly there's nothing wrong with sticking with something you know you like.

Eh I try to be adventurous sometimes but generally tend to fall back onto what I know is "safe".

Except the restaurant I work at, been there so long that I've had literally everything on the menu at some point.

I will, but I'm also weird. I don't like to waste the server's time by taking too long to figure out what I want, so I scope out the menu before I arrive so I can order right away. I'll try new things, but I'll know before I even sit down what that new thing is.

On occasion. Honestly, stuff is so expensive right now. I feel lucky when I find something I like. So in tend to stick with it and hope the quality doesn't get worse.
