How Does the Child Timeline Ending to Ocarina of Time Occur?

According to HH, the Child Timeline occurs when Link goes back to his childhood in OoT and Ganondorf is arrested before he does any harm. Wait a minute, this arrest seen in TP has Ganondorf with a different design fighting a new group of sages. What did Link do to out this motion. Who are those sages? What happened to Ganondorf's face? Will someone please help me?

Who are those sages?

The Ancient Sages are generally believed to be the predecessors to the Sages in OoT. Link didn't allow Ganondorf to get the ToP in the CT, so Ganondorf couldn't kill them.

What happened to Ganondorf's face?

Twilight Princess happened to his face. It's a different game. He's also the same guy you see in WW, despite major graphical differences.

Here let me explain it in timeline form

...................../Ganon rises to power and kills the sages -> Link awakens new sages -> ending of OoT's adult timeline -> TWW
Sages build ToT
.....................\Link warns Zelda of Ganon's plan -> Ganon imprisoned -> Original sages fail to execute him -> TP

I would assume that Locke's point on the predecessors is correct, but perhaps Rauru wasn't a sage at the time when Link was a child? Then again, I'm not too sure.

Well Adult Link from OoT is sent back to relive his youth via Zelda playing the song of time. He is sent back to the moment he first encountered Zelda and thus now he warns Zelda and the King of Hyrule about Ganondorfs plans. Now one can question why couldn't he just had done this before but because he has lived through the Adult events he now can prove that he is indeed the chosen hero.

It states that several years after Ganondorfs plans were foiled he was sent to the Arbiter Grounds for execution. It says that Ganondorfs execution was held "Several Years" after his capture now this could have been enough times for the sages to have built the Arbiter Grounds in the desert and Ganondorfs change in appearance and attire.

However like Locke said Twilight Princess is a new game so Ganondorf is bound to have a new appearance and this vast difference was most due to the fact that TP came 8 years after OoT. As for the sages, Link awakened the sages on the Adult Timeline, he did "not" awaken them on the Child Timeline. This could indicate that these sages were different entities to the ones we saw when Link went seven years into the future.
