How Do You Pronounce Deku

I think I'm weird here guys. I pronounce it Deekoo. Why is that not an option. I feel excluded.

I pronounce it "Dee-koo", been doing that since forever. Many voiced fan animations I've watched pronounce it "deh-koo", and I respect that, but just like the word Ocarina, I pronounce the word as I want to whether it's correct or not.
