Battle of Cosentia (Southern Italy)

Carthaginian forces siege my city of Cosentia at the foot of Italy. My reinforcing army was a turn late, so the city garrison had was outnumbered and, as you can see, had to deal with african elephants.
Cosentia was lost, but the next turn Legio II Italia made it to the city and avenged the destruction of Legio IV Ferrata, and the loss of honest Roman lives.

A safe landing on the surface of Minmus. My kerbal standing next to the planted flag (which you can't see very well because of the position of the sun). The Minmus Lander-1 is in the background.

The low gravity on Minmus makes for some awesome jumping/flying . You can see the swath of the galaxy well in this picture.

The slow return to Kerbin. Here I'm a few hundred thousand meters above Kerbin in a descending orbit preparing for a retrograde burn that will allow me to pick my landing site.

Decoupling the primary booster in preparation for the final landing.

Successful re-entry into Kerbin's atmosphere and deploying the command module parachute.

All in all, a challenging mission. Kerbal Space Program is by far the most difficult video game I have ever played. The learning curve is insane, but all those hours of trial and error and learning pay off.
