What was your first game? Have you gone back and played at all? Does it stand up to the test of time, or is just nostalgia that makes it fun. My first game was ape escape, I have gone back an played it, and it is still fun even if I can no longer beat it.

Too many new bloods here, my game is going to look awfully old lol. The first game I played was an educational one on the Commadore Amiga 500:

Robot Readers: The Ugly Duckling - Made by Hilton Android in 1987. http://hol.abime.net/3857

The first game that was more like a game (But still educational) was on the same system:

Donald Duck's Playground by Sierra (Goddamn I miss them...) made in 1986. http://hol.abime.net/385

The first game that I played that was strictly just a game (And what really counts as first game) was also on the same system:

The Way of the Little Dragon by Parsec Software in 1987. http://hol.abime.net/1678

Don't let the year (Or shotty controls) turn you off from this EXTREMELY fun and badass game. Just watch theis video and you'll see what I mean:

As far as standing the test of time...Looking at Way of the Little Dragon I'd say with the exception of the controls, it certainly has stood the test of time for me. Watching this video right now, I am still impressed by it as the sounds, music and some of the graphics put the NES to shame. I have played it recently as two months ago but not for long; the controls I mentioned earlier lol

I don't remember, it might be something like Joust on the Atari 2600, or Super Mario Bros or the regular Mario Bros., Donkey Kong or Jr, I don't know.

Montezuma's Revenge on Atari 65XE. Room seen at 05:07 is glitchy in some versions of the game, but version seen in this video is fixed.

First game I played alone was Half Life. Technically the first game I played was a little bit of Ocarina of Time with my brother over my shoulder, and we couldn't afford any newer consoles so I played old PC games, and Half Life opened my eyes!

I'm gonna go with first video game, since I barely remember the Amstrad ones. My first video game was Super Mario Bros. And yes, I have gone back to play it again, but it's definitely become dated since I was a kid. Super Mario Bros 3, however, which was the second game I played, is still one of my three favourite Mario titles and I love playing it from time to time.

Huh..... I think it was Pokemon Ruby. I'm not entirely sure. It just stands out as one of the first games I played. Yes I've played plenty of times over because Gen III is my favorite, and it's always fun to beat Steven at the end.

Pokemon Gold Version was my first video game, I remember getting it with a translucent purple Game Boy Color and a guide book.:D

Umm, I think it was Pokemon Yellow, or possibly Super Mario World. I've played both those games numerous amounts of times, and still have fun every playthrough.
