Too many new bloods here, my game is going to look awfully old lol. The first game I played was an educational one on the Commadore Amiga 500:
Robot Readers: The Ugly Duckling - Made by Hilton Android in 1987.

The first game that was more like a game (But still educational) was on the same system:
Donald Duck's Playground by Sierra (Goddamn I miss them...) made in 1986.

The first game that I played that was strictly just a game (And what really counts as first game) was also on the same system:
The Way of the Little Dragon by Parsec Software in 1987.

Don't let the year (Or shotty controls) turn you off from this EXTREMELY fun and badass game. Just watch theis video and you'll see what I mean:

As far as standing the test of time...Looking at Way of the Little Dragon I'd say with the exception of the controls, it certainly has stood the test of time for me. Watching this video right now, I am still impressed by it as the sounds, music and some of the graphics put the NES to shame. I have played it recently as two months ago but not for long; the controls I mentioned earlier lol
