How does the leveling work? I got a sword moblin Lv.3 early on and it’s rated 5 but I can’t use it yet.

you need 5 triangles so clearing rifts

I didn’t realize the flying tiles could be learned, I’ve gone back to the sanctum room to defeat them but I get nothing to learn sfter.
Am I missing something?
