that was my ace in the hole that i was hoping to spring on mafia in surprise. If everything went perfectly it would have made mafia think they'd won the game after a mislynch in "LyLo" but in reality given me enough votes to lynch them the next day despite being outnumbered, and in the ideal situation that would result in the entire team mistakenly outing themselves, which would have won town the game.

Things won't go as smoothly as they could as a result, but its still a powerful tool for the town, I think (although i can now only do it once more, and at reduced strength).

On the plus side for me you no longer need to consider lynching me since town's only way of winning is now lynching mafia twice in a row.

seanzie felt his role was anti-town because it forced all townies to target him or his target and could cause for example, cops being unable to investigate the optimal targets or doctors being unable to protect the optimal targets. Its generally potentially disruptive to the entire town to activate it, especially early in the game when you don't know what the town is working with.

i suppose with 6 people currently alive and myself immune to negative utility its safe enough to just claim at this point that if both the mafia want to out themselves tomorrow that I'd be willing to vote alongside them. If they aren't then I'll continue voting with the intent to hit mafia, which will probably just be KoD again, or someone else depending on the gamestate.

i still highly doubt the mafia will reveal themselves, although if they do i'll take the easy win

from the mafia perspective it should be much safer to try for a mislynch i think

By agreement, we're willing to win with you. You'll understand if I don't reveal my partner since you're dealing with me.

I fully trust that you'd backstab me even in this circumstance since you could easily side with town just to elim me. So insurance is needed.

i'll wait to hear from the rest of the players just in the event that you're town trying to confuse me, but if nobody else claims mafia then i'll vote with you

Yeah, that's not happening.

My partner is not going to claim simply because, as I explained, you would gladly take an opportunity to backstab me in just such a situation like this much like how I backstabbed you and Rome. That would leave us exposed, fully, with you able to side with town just to elim us for victory (and the added bonus of having stuck it to me in such a satisfying way).

Now, truly, there's no point in trying to strongarm you given your role. Consider this an olive branch of sorts. If you want the easy win, here it is.

If you want to spit in my face, well, gl finding my partner. Town will be chopped through, and you'll come around to our side eventually without being able to backstab me.

So, either way, I'm good.
