Thought I should share this here. This is an acrylic painting I did wayyyy back in 2018 of Dragon Roost Island, which is still my favorite island in all of Wind Waker. I get that, monetization can destroy creativity. That happened to my blog.
Sorry that happened. And I totally agree. One of my favorite hobbies is crocheting, and I’ve had people ask me why I don’t make a business and sell the stuff I make. It’s one of the most relaxing things to do and I feel like monetizing it would suck the joy out of that.

Sorry that happened. And I totally agree. One of my favorite hobbies is crocheting, and I’ve had people ask me why I don’t make a business and sell the stuff I make. It’s one of the most relaxing things to do and I feel like monetizing it would suck the joy out of that.
In my case, what happened is people started reading my blog in large numbers, and as a result, they wanted me to write certain things, and I felt beholden to write what they wanted to hear, rather than what was really on my heart.
