Djinn-- How Do You Pronounce It?

I always thought it was pronounced, "dee-jin" but some commercials for Golden Sun: Dark Dawn have been pronouncing it, "Jin," leaving out the D altogether. It didn't bother me at first, but now I really have to know. How the heck do you pronounce the word, "Djinn"?

I pronounce it "Jin." The D is silent. If you need another opinion, go ask the user named Djinn and ask for his opinion.

I can only speak on the original term from mythology.

The D is mostly silent, leaving the word Jinn. Jinn and Jinni are acceptable as well which is the root word for Genie.

I never saw any real reason why it should be pronounced differently for Golden Sun. So I would assume Jinn/Ginn would be correct.

It's "Jinn", the D is silent and likely there just to fill up character space/impact in future titles
