Did They Buff Damage in OoT 3DS

So I was just in Dodongos cavern and a keese of all things managed to hit me. However, I noticed it hit me a full heart. Now...I could be wrong...but I swear I don't recall Keese hitting me this high in OoT. Am I just forgetful or did they buff up damage in this game? (This is the normal quest)

I just played a bit of OoT3D (normal quest) the other day and incidentally got hit by a Keese. It did 1/2th a heart of damage. I can say with certainty that damage was not buffed in the 3DS remake, not including Master Quest 3D.
