Lupay is an anthropomorphic wolf who is one of Ganon's minions. Lupay has taken over the northwestern region of Koridai, in the eponymous Lupay Stage, where they enslave Koridians by cursing them with Rubies and transforming them into Moblins.

Lupay possesses a third eye in their forehead which fires energy beams. They can only be defeated by reflecting their energy shots with the Reflecting Shield. Upon their defeat, Lupay vanishes and leaves the Crystal of Vision behind.

Maybe this is where nintendo got the idea for king rauru or the zonai in Totk also could be an offshoot or ancestor of the zonai who look more like wolves that chose to not follow or worship the three golden goddesses.

The theory would maybe be that the Zonai turned into wolves? And that Link's unusual OoT/TP wolf connection explains his wolf-like Ancient Hero's Aspect look, and this dark-side Lupay? The Crystal of Vision is used in the Lantern of Vision which allows Link to see invisible enemies and face Ganon; this may use Zonai technology to reveal hidden enemies like the Sheikah Lens of Truth etc.?

Omfak and Lupay "Yiga-ing" in Koridai and Gamelon as Zonai during the Era of the Hero of Hyrule is genuinely fascinating, and it could actually reintroduce the full "wolf Zonai" thing before the Ancient Hero's Aspect becomes a wolf later on in the downfall timeline.
