Going off topic....might I point out a Loftwing in the real world would be a giant shoebill bird. I just thought it's awesome we actually have them around....I should change the topic and add "and other inspirations so it doesn't go off topic." lol

Ok back on topic....Zelda might be influenced Kannon as a goddess who had many incarnations. If you look at some of the faces in SS they do resemble Buddha statues. IE: Owlan, Horwell and the goddess statues.
