Chocolate kept in the fridge or not?

I was wondering how the members of ZD store their chocolate. I think chocolate should be stored at room temperature so that it melts as soon as you put it inside the mouth. Chocolate eaten from the fridge does not melt right away and you can't get the flavour of it as well.

How do you store yours?@

Typically at room temperature. Unless it's summer then I may put it in the fridge for a cold chocolate treat.

I'm a total dirty degenerate, I keep my choccy in the fridge.

I usually only ever have chocolate when I have a cup of tea and I dunk the chocolate in the tea, if it is room temperature there is precious little dunk time, whereas if the choccy has a cold core I can keep dunking and licking the slowly melting choccy.

Agreed. Have tried Reese’s from the fridge but they tasted odd..

Most of the time I'll leave it just in the cupboard but if it comes to an extremely hot couple of days in summer I might move it to the fridge even though that isn't ideal (the Aussie heat can get brutal).

I've lost ton of chocolates by keeping them at room temperature by mistake
melted away.....

I always leave my chocolate out. I've never refrigerated it.

Where I live chocolate will melt if you don't store it in the fridge.

When it's hot then I put it in the fridge but otherwise it's the good old cupboard

Room tempature for sure. I don't care for it cold. Although there have been a few times that I had a candy bar in my pocket when I was little and it started to melt in the wrapper, so I put it in the fridge to save it.
