A Link Between Worlds Can't Use the Fairy Bow While Riding Epona

I can't be the only one with this problem. Can't find anyone on the internet with this problem.

I am playing Ocarina of time's Master Quest on the 3DS.
I have completed the forest temple and am the owner of a brand new fairy bow which I can use as I choose except when I ride Epona.
When I'm galloping on Epona my fairy bow is grayed out and I can't use it.

Am I missing something?

That's a bit odd. When you're riding on Epona, have you pressed the B button? That's how you use the bow while riding the horse, not using the touch pad.

The only way I've heard of being UNABLE to use the bow while riding Epona is by executing a glitch only possible in the original OoT.

Silly me. @ my age you begin to forget things. (I completed the game with 100% items)
So, I assigned my bow to the "Y" button and clicked on it while riding. Never thought of pressing "B"
