Skyward Sword Can't Make the First Jump in the Shipyard

i think i have tried everything, but can't make the landing on the first jump in minecart. Any suggestions?

For me, I just kept the wii remote as still and flat as possible. You don't even need to flick it up like the instructions on the wall say. Good luck!

Pretty much what Chibiyu said. Just keep the Wii Remote still. It worked for me. But if it still won't work, flick the Wii Remote down as if you're doing a quick attack if you could use your sword.
