Marin: Oh I think there's some rations in there in case of a human being stranded here. Aili should know where it is.
*Marin pushes the door open and guides Siy down a staircase to a mildly furnished room where Aili and Kamuya, a black she-wolf with a front leg missing, were watching five wolf pups play energetically. Kamuya sees Siy and Marin on the landing, and shares a nod with Marin who slips away so the pups don't see her.*
Kamuya: Hello, Siy! Come on down!

*Siy ran in and kneeled down to the puppies, petting them and smiling*
Siy: These guys are so cute!

*One of the pups looks up at Kamuya*

*While Siy cuddled with a pup, Stitch was loosely in her arm*
*Marin walks back to the beach to join the conference, where Chevs was asking Daniel some questions about the cult. He still doesn't quite trust that Daniel actually defected, but he's trusting him on James' behalf.*
Chevs: So you think it's unlikely that they attack us full force first thing?
Daniel: I would be very surprised. They probably won't even be trying to kill your pack or the Shilens, they still want to draw in Cayde and the Wind Fish.
Chevs: Yeah right. As if they could just kill the Wind Fish.
*Daniel avoids this statement*
Daniel: I on the other hand am a dead man. So if we could come up with some strategy that lets me be a noble sacrifice, I'd rather not get gunned down early on.
James: No. Everyone's surviving this.
Daniel: ...There is information I am purposefully withholding, because it is not something everyone here needs to know, but it is something that I will probably need to sacrifice myself over if we want this to succeed. I know I'm being vague and I know that Chevs doesn't trust me, but I'm playing all the cards I can and holding the ones that will come in handy later.

James: He was someone I knew in college, but our lives went in different paths, he got involved with a bad crowd and I wanted no part of it. He was never really a malicious person, just made some bad choices, so I'm glad to see him trying to redeem himself. If that''s really what he's doing.
