Ostrich is the coolest bird because people can ride them for short distances like a Chocobo! Birds have hollow bones though, so riding one for too long can seriously injure them.

Don't ride ostrich's!

They're just so pretty and goofy. I love 'em.

To look at. A toucan. I think they are adorable with their big beautiful beaks and I have even seen prosthetic beaks be attached to those toucans which have had their original damaged.

To eat. A goose. These are creatures of pure spite and malice, all they do is screech and hiss at you and hate you with every fibre of their being. This must really add to their rich flavour and succulent meat.

Agreed. I love Falcons they can be very majestic and agile such as the Peregrine Falcon, but also they can be cute such as the Kestrel

I like ravens. Is that weird?

Not at all. They are really fascinating. It is said that the Norse god Odin kept two ravens named Huginn and Muninn that flew around the world gathering information about the living. Which makes sense since Ravens and Crows are actually some of the smartest birds.

I am actually surprised no one has mentioned penguins, parrots or even hummingbirds yet.

I also really love cardinals because they remind me of the state where I was born, but also I love certain species of owls because they will always remind me of my late grandmother.

I'm not a huge bird fan, I find them pretty boring. Then again I find most animals boring. My mom and best friend both love birds though so I end up hearing about them all the time.
The exception to this is owls. I love owls, they're one of my favorite animals. I don't think I have a specific type of owl I favor, all of them are neat.
