I brought up th sk on day 1 in my most recent scum game on FFR, so maybe you have a point there
But what I brought up was "X person is the serial killer", not "is there a serial killer?"
Like scum have a vested interest in finding the serial killer, and sure they want town to kill the sk for them, but they would do that by accusing someone else of being sk
My goodness I hate myself, but it's true
Like sorry but when someone comes waltzing in asking about the sk I think they're the sk
Storma has been incredibly aloof outside of SK related things- they don't really care about finding scum. They're focused on everyone's thoughts regarding an SK and how safe they are right now (assuming they are sk)
Now that I know what a hider does it's less likely but still possible.

I think the best play pattern for a hider would be to claim a simple statement such as "If I die, X player is scum" then hide on that player.

Does anyone mind if I present a false dichotomy between Rubik and funnier then stay off both wagons?
Or start overanalyzing the nightkill?
Or maybe talk exclusively about game mechanics and percentage possibilities of each role?

Yeah, that's probably the ideal hider play, although it fails if there's the bus driver scum role or if scum/SK NK them when they announce that they target a town player or the joat roleblock or any other number of easy exploits.

It seems mostly useless to me.

Also, hunting sk and hunting mafia are two very different things. Obviously.

I haven’t noticed it being very different from each other, but then again I can’t remember the last game I played that had an SK.

Hunting mafia is more about noticing connections between players and higher knowledge about the setup/player alignment than should be expected.

Hunting an SK is more about finding a player who is primarily trying to preserve themselves.

They're both players acting in an anti-town way, but they're distinct.

True for some people, others play more like they’re town, others more like they’re mafia, and any differences are very subtle. Idk I don’t really see the point of talking about it.

Anddd this is why relying on prs is a bad idea.

Though since I’m pretty sure none of us are familiar with hiders it could’ve been gotten away with since nobody would’ve realized what that meant, though possibly they might’ve role blocked anyway to be safe. Too late now anyway.

To answer your question he hasn’t posted this phase. (Literally got the alert he posted right after typing this)

Also, in preparation for my analysis I looked up two of Kirinos old games and I must say I’m terrified. He’s mafia in one and town in the other and I literally could not tell the difference. (These games being avengers mafia and mafia lineages) so like, I don’t really know what to do about that tbh.
