At the last instant, in the nick of time, Spider-Man swoops into the Century Club to save the day!

Only, he wasn't counting on the aliens being allied with The Terrible Tinkerer, whose REAL ray gun was more than a match for the would-be hero...

The Tinkerer had Spidey dead to rights, but instead of finishing him off as he should have, he put the webhead in a glass dome--a glass dome that was no match for the ingenious invention of WEB-SHOOTERS!

While the "aliens" may have escaped (did they return home?), their human ally, the Terrible Tinkerer, was apprehended by Spider-Man! It seems he was behind the whole plot, though the mystery of the aliens who helped him for now will go unsolved...

There was some light damage to the Century Club, and of course, one tragic death, but otherwise, the crisis was averted, all thanks to one friendly neighborhood superhero!
