Gundam Narrative - 6/10 Narrative is a confusing blur of a movie. It has plenty of interesting concepts and scenes, but it's bogged down by a rushed, sloppy script. The movie has far too much going on, and suffers from assuming that the viewer knows all the lore already, which was kind of a...

Joker 8.5/10 - Well made movie, it's compelling to watch if you like feel-bad movies. This film tries really hard to make you uncomfortable, and it usually succeeds. It looks pretty great, mise en scene and cinematography is real pretty. Sound design is pretty good too, it really throws you into...

Shin Godzilla - 10/10 My favorite piece of media Hideaki Anno has ever made. It's an amazing kaiju movie, every aspect of the movie is just great, from the dry humor to the ridiculous name/job-title gags to the wonderful special effects. Godzilla is one of the cutest looking giant monsters I've...

Bandersnatch. It was an alright movie, a fun enough watch. The theme of "free will is fake" is super overplayed in interactive media, so it wasn't too interesting an idea to think/talk about much after. Well made, don't get me wrong, but the themes and plot hardly held my interest. 7/10

Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: Rise of The Red Comet -- 7.5/10 Really nice cap to the series of movies, but as a standalone it's kinda underwhelming. It plays more like an epilogue honestly, tying up loose ends from the previous films and doing nothing more. The protagonist Char shows up for...

Automata (7.5/10) Starting off really obviously in the footsteps of Blade Runner, it does really well with it's relatively low budget with it's scenery and (practical?) effects, but as it ditches the cyberpunk noir vibe it starts to lose it's charm. Cheesy but decent if you can waste an hour or two.

A Series of Unfortunate Events, which I watched last Sunday. I'd say 8/10. They get the basic plot of the first three books pretty well, but I just wish there were a few parts from the book they added. Count Olaf was great though, just fabulous.
