Oh, great, I'm dealing with another DarkestLink. I'm not even going to respond because I know where it's going to head.

    Too late.

    >Has a completely original mechanic, changes how items are received, and has brand-new content galore >Still pulled a NSMB The funny thing is that the original NSMB wasn't even a rehash. It was the games AFTER that were.

Eh, it happens with every new release. At least the majority of the fanbase loves it.

I've seen him say it a number of times. I had to question it at some point, so I figured why not now? Also, I'm not a fanboy, and I criticize the game quite often. So hush.

Sounds more like Twilight Princess to me. #intentionallycynical (TP had innovation, it just executed it poorly) Edit: I really need to comment on the gameplay and innovation thing, seeing as you've said it quite often. I can't even begin to see where you're coming from with this. Name a Zelda...

Or maybe said person just doesn't like that kind of stuff? This isn't like Skyward Sword's controls lol.

Zelda never really started focusing on puzzles until Link's Awakening. The first three games were much more action-oriented since that was the style for most games back then.

Well, there's already a thread about this, but... I'm pretty sure my answer is outdated, so I might as well. I hate to say it, but it's gotta be The Wind Waker for me. I used to love the game, but every subsequent playthrough has made me enjoy it less and less to the point that I just like it...

If no Zelda game is bad, then how is one of the Zelda games bad?

I'm pretty sure you hated TP before SS's release.

    Least Favorite Zelda Game

I don't hate any Zelda games, but my least-favorite is A Link to the Past. I don't know why, but every time I play for more than an hour, it seems I have to start forcing myself to keep playing it. That doesn't happen with any other title.

Notice: The following rant is meant nothing more as a joke via the serious fanboy rage of forum user JuicieJ. Please do not take any of the following statements seriously. Thank you.

All this still doesn't excuse the fact that Zelda II did many things wrong (and I'm not talking about the side-scrolling). Lots of things about its design were very cheap -- namely the combat system, which was unforgiving and slightly unintuitive -- having to restart back at the castle after a...

I respect opinion, but calling any game perfect is just plain inaccurate.

    Least Favorite Zelda Game

"Absolutely perfect"? Um, well... that's kind of impossible. No game is perfect. Not one. There's no game in existence that couldn't possibly be made better than it already is and/or fix some issues, be they minor or major. I even say this about SS, a game I have very few legitimate complaints...

    Least Favorite Zelda Game

This is a revised post from my previous one, however long ago it was posted. (Probably a couple months.) I've figured out why my least-favorite Zelda is my least-favorite Zelda over this course of time, so I figured I'd delete my previous post and post this. A Link to the Past. Don't get me...

Those don't qualify as Zelda games. They were developed entirely by Philips CD-i, meaning Nintendo had nothing to do with them. Philips was barely given the rights to use the Zelda characters due to Nintendo trying to get a little more marketability. ...Which didn't really happen.
