I've seen him say it a number of times. I had to question it at some point, so I figured why not now? Also, I'm not a fanboy, and I criticize the game quite often. So hush.

Zelda never really started focusing on puzzles until Link's Awakening. The first three games were much more action-oriented since that was the style for most games back then.

Well, there's already a thread about this, but... I'm pretty sure my answer is outdated, so I might as well. I hate to say it, but it's gotta be The Wind Waker for me. I used to love the game, but every subsequent playthrough has made me enjoy it less and less to the point that I just like it...

I'm pretty sure you hated TP before SS's release.

I don't hate any Zelda games, but my least-favorite is A Link to the Past. I don't know why, but every time I play for more than an hour, it seems I have to start forcing myself to keep playing it. That doesn't happen with any other title.

I respect opinion, but calling any game perfect is just plain inaccurate.

"Absolutely perfect"? Um, well... that's kind of impossible. No game is perfect. Not one. There's no game in existence that couldn't possibly be made better than it already is and/or fix some issues, be they minor or major. I even say this about SS, a game I have very few legitimate complaints...

Those don't qualify as Zelda games. They were developed entirely by Philips CD-i, meaning Nintendo had nothing to do with them. Philips was barely given the rights to use the Zelda characters due to Nintendo trying to get a little more marketability. ...Which didn't really happen.
